The height of summer down Towneley, out trying my latest model a Funjet, what a performer, makes a bit more noise than the usual electric model but is a certain performer...wow! Anyway shown is Ian B flying his electric Zero, whilst sheltering from the thundery showers. It was a welcome retreat to all out on the field as it was really hammering it down ! - But it was a first for Ian flying from a gazzebo. We were just short of a few chairs, beers and a barbi ! - Now theres an idea! |

'Rare' gales set to hit Britain |

 Looks like it may be actually too windy, and possibly wet as well as gales are expected to hit across the UK, People across the UK are being warned to brace themselves for unusually stormy weather as high winds and heavy rain are forecast for Sunday.
The storms - with winds which could reach 65mph across northern Britain - are expected to peak around midday. BBC forecaster Tomasz Schafernaker said the weather was abnormal for June. "Although it's not unusual to have this kind of weather during the winter it's rare to see this kind of gale this time of year," he said. Well finally we have some summer like weather, so we should have a good evening down Towneley, we will be over on the far side field away from the footballers, see you down there for just after 6.00pm. |

 This has now appeared on the flat field site down on Towneley, plus the whole field has been fenced off plus they have also constructed a entrance for the construction trucks.
