Felt like the first day of Spring today, well later on as it was a tadd chilly to start with, but lighter winds later it felt really pleasant, another goo turn out with a variety of models out. Amongst them was Ian with the newly finished Ventus which he really enjoyed the flight, but the UC doors only lasted the first flight - you can see them getting ripped off in one of the photos below.

All I can say is what an amazing turn out - Over 20 fliers cant be bad, I was only expecting the usual few up so it was nice to see all the new faces, from nearby clubs - If your looking for a nice new club to fly at then its just £5 to join - but you need your own BMFA membership as well.

dsc00562.jpgdsc00563.jpgThe weather was bright and mild but in the 15-20mph blow it really didnt feel to warm, was also the first outing of mey new Graupner Swift S1 scale model which went with out a problem, seen below is Ian Benson heaving it off in to the first flight.

Hope to see you all again - your welcome....

It was a little misty for a while and we had to wait until after 2pm before we could actually fly, i was out with the new Fox EPP foamie that was a delight to fly and looked very smart in the air...we also managed +5*C so felt rather warm compared to previous weeks!

What do you think - Windrider Fox EPP Glider

Windrider Fox EPP Glider , going to get a couple of these in my shop to see what theyre like, any takers....

SSP  £64.99 - To RVMSA members £58

a-winfox.jpgLooking for the perfect slope soarer with real aerobatic capability? The Windrider Fox delivers performance with the kind of style that could only come from a scale model of one of the most capable aerobatic gliders of today. When you add that the the damage resistant nature of an EPP moulded airframe with carbon fibre re-inforcement, the package is almost irresistable.

The Windrider Fox is compact enough to literally throw in the back of tha car and head to the hills! A superb low wing loading resulting from careful design and the use of lightweight R/C gear will let you explore the lowest wind levels.

Just a couple of hours will give you a highly durable slope soarer with far more style than the average 'kipper'. Combat anyone?

New Model Shop in Burnley
Written by Simon H

 newshopfront.jpg

Well I have finally sort out a suitable new location for the shop, its taken a lot longer  than I expected but we are about to move in, it will be in Burnley, 287 Manchester Road BB11 4HL. Just needs the stock and all my gear switching across and we will be done, so allow for a small bit of mess if you call in, you might even get given a brush to help :)
(Shown is how the shop will hopefully look like soon - inside and out, not your 'normal' heli shop !!!! ).

It will be mainly a helicopter shop and wont have everything in stock but will be able to supply anything you normally need, so just ask and I will get in anything you need. Dont just expect to turn up and by a roll of profilm, ask during the week if you need something and I'll get it in ready. :)
